All of our tutors have extensive experience in the music industry as DJs and producers, having toured, performed, and run their own imprints while releasing on some of the world's best electronic record labels.

 

Their expertise brings firsthand experience to help our students overcome the typical challenges that arise along the way, assisting in making the right career decisions instead of going through an endless trial and error which can lead to slowing down career progress which can be stressful and not particularly inspiring.

While other schools may focus on broad, often basic concepts, LSEM’s focus is on practical, industry-standard DJ skills and music production techniques that prepare you for real-world success. Unlike larger institutions, we prioritise small class sizes and customised coaching, allowing you to progress with personal guidance and avoid unnecessary debt. Our approach equips you with practical skills for producing tracks, building a home studio on a budget, and mastering techniques for mixing, beat-matching, and releasing music without financial strain.

Our Mission and Values

LSEM was founded by Pablo Ranacat, a seasoned DJ and producer with over 20 years of experience. Pablo’s personal mission is to live a life filled with joy and purpose, driven by the belief that music is a powerful force for good. He realised that his true fulfilment came not just from creating music but from empowering others to achieve their dreams and have a positive impact in their lives through it. This vision inspired him to create LSEM—a school designed to provide the practical skills, mentorship, and support that aspiring artists truly need.

Affordability:

In an industry where music technology education has traditionally been affordable to a select few, we are proud to offer courses that prepare you for the real world and are available to everyone, regardless of financial background, without the burden of crippling debt.

Community:

We believe that music has the power to bring people together. Through our sister brand, Fresh Beats, LSEM specialises in assisting our student and alumni community in gaining experience and breaking into the music industry as professional artists.

We organise club nights, a radio show on Netil Radio, live streams from Bloop London, and run Fresh Beats Records, our label that releases our students EPs that are completed during our courses.

Together with an amazing and ever-growing community on our Whatsapp Groups, all of which work in perfect sync to provide you with the assistance you need to get started in the world of electronic music, and where students, alumni, and tutors can come together to perform, showcase their skills, dance, celebrate life, network, and create a supportive environment.
